The Problem With Spreadsheets & Basic Alerts

Why conventional inventory rules fail Shopify stores

Static threshold alerts and 30-day averages treat active retail like a static math test. Here is where money slips away.

1

Stock-outs counted as zero demand

The Flaw

When an item goes out of stock for 10 days, simple averages assume demand dropped to zero, lowering your next reorder and causing back-to-back stockouts.

How Larderia Fixes It

We leave out-of-stock days out of the demand calculation, so a stock-out doesn't lower your next reorder.

2

Ignoring supplier lead time

The Flaw

Alerts that trigger when stock hits 5 units often fail when your manufacturer needs 25 business days to produce and ship.

How Larderia Fixes It

Every supplier lead time and safety buffer is factored into dynamic reorder dates, suggesting when to order before you get close to zero.

3

One-size-fits-all averages

The Flaw

Blending winter holiday spikes and summer lulls into a single 30-day rolling average often leads to overstock or stock-outs.

How Larderia Fixes It

When you have 13+ months of history, we detect annual seasonality per variant, with trend and average-based models used when history is shorter.

How it works

How Larderia works in three steps

Zero complex integrations. Install the app, review what to reorder, create the purchase order.

01

Reads your sales history

Connects in 1-click via the official Shopify API. Reads order line items, quantities, dates and locations only — no customer names, emails or addresses are requested or stored, and no payment data.

Reads sales; writes stock only when you receive a purchase order in the app
02

Forecasts each variant with a confidence level

Separates trend, seasonality and irregular demand per variant and inventory location. Shows a transparent High, Medium or Low confidence level so you know which numbers to trust.

Seasonality, trend & intermittent-demand models
03

Suggests what to order & generates POs

Suggests reorder quantities you can adjust. One click exports a clean CSV formatted for Shopify Purchase Orders, or emails the PO PDF directly to your supplier (Growth and Pro).

Native Shopify PO format
Auditable Transparency

No black boxes. See the exact math behind every suggested order.

Most inventory tools give you an arbitrary number. Here is how Larderia computes the suggested reorder for the 20W USB-C Charger:

Item Calculation Ledger
SKU: CHG-20W-WHT (20W USB-C Charger)
Status: Urgent Reorder
Step A: Daily Velocity
0.5 units/day

Calculated from your sales history, with seasonality and stock-outs taken into account.

Step B: Lead Time
14 days

Needs 7.0 units during supplier manufacture and transit.

Step C: Safety Buffer
7 days

Needs 3.5 units protection against sales spikes or delays.

Step D: Coverage Cycle
30 days

Needs 15.0 units to reach preferred next purchase cycle.

The Computation Formula
(14 lead days + 7 buffer days + 30 cycle days) × 0.5 units/day = 25.5 units

Rounded up to 26 units.

Adjust lead time, minimum order and safety buffer per supplier.
Forecasts are estimates based on your sales history — your business instincts always take priority.

Got Questions?

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers to help you plan your inventory transitions.

What happened to Stocky, and how is Larderia different?
Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store on February 2, 2026, and it stopped working on August 31, 2026. Shopify moved suppliers, purchase orders, receiving and transfers into the Shopify admin, and for demand forecasting it points to Sidekick, its AI assistant (source: Shopify Help Center, "Migrating from Stocky to Shopify inventory management"). Larderia is a dedicated forecasting tool: reorder dates and quantities per variant and location, using each supplier's lead time, minimum order and case pack, with the math shown.
Do you access my customer data or order payment info?
We read your orders only for their line items: product, quantity, date and location. We don’t request or store customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses, and we never handle payment data.
How does Larderia handle seasonal spikes, like Black Friday?
When there are 13 or more months of order history, Larderia detects annual seasonality per variant and warns you ahead of the season. With less history, it falls back to trend and average-based models and shows a confidence level, so you know how much to trust the number. Forecasts are estimates — you decide what to order.
Can I set different lead times and minimum order quantities per supplier?
Yes. Every supplier profile in Larderia lets you set lead time, minimum order for the whole purchase order, case pack multiple, days of coverage and safety stock. Larderia rounds suggested reorder quantities to those parameters.
What happens if I have multiple warehouse or retail store locations?
When orders are fulfilled from each location, Larderia forecasts per warehouse or store. If your store doesn't fulfill by location, Larderia forecasts the total across locations instead.
Where is my data stored?
Larderia’s database and servers are hosted in an EU region (Render, Frankfurt, Germany). Emails that Larderia sends for you, such as purchase orders to your suppliers, are delivered through Resend, a US company working under GDPR safeguards that stores the content of those emails in the United States. When you uninstall, Larderia deletes your store’s data as soon as Shopify confirms the uninstall, and within 30 days at most, technical backups included. Copies of emails already sent are kept by Resend for 30 days after sending.
Can I cancel? Do you offer refunds?
Yes to both. You can cancel at any time from Shopify. If you cancel part-way through a billing period, Larderia refunds the unused days of that period; days already used are not refunded (cancel on the 15th of the month and you get the rest of that month back). Not satisfied? We refund your last payment if you ask within 30 days (once per store in any 12-month period). On a yearly plan, the whole year is refunded if you ask within 30 days of the charge; after that, the unused days. Shopify handles the charge and Larderia issues the refund.
